The TCG® Group of Companies is an Australian-owned group of independent, mutually supportive organisations, which form a significant force in their areas of operations. TCG, the first company in the Group, was established in 1971. The activities of the private companies within the Group have expanded over the years to encompass four strategic areas:

Services
Computers & Communications
Business Accelerators & Technology Parks
The Environment

Amongst others they include companies in contract research & development, hardware and software, electronic document design and management systems, telecommunications, Internet technologies, importing and exporting services, real estate, accountancy, corporate strategic alliances, commercial negotiations and business management, as well as philanthropy. »»

Over the years the TCG Companies created twenty six globally significant technology advances in information systems, data transmission, management structures and the food industry.

In 1993 a TCG company was publicly floated on the Australia Stock Exchange as TechComm Group Limited (now called Utility Computer Services UXC). A former TCG company was floated on the New York Exchange in November 1997 for US$600M, making it the largest technology company to be established in Australia until that time.

In 2000 the TCG Group established Global Access Partners (GAP) - a non-for-profit company. It operates as a proactive and influential network of individuals who initiate high-level discussions on current commercial, social and global issues. Solutions to the challenges are translated into economic outcomes for Australian Business & Government.

The TCG corporate structure is part of many university undergraduate and masters programs in business management in Australia and around the world.
